Re: Re: OLD MODEL (Reply to this comment)

The author states that this is a 2007 model and, in fact this model was introduced in Dec. 2006. PC Magazine dated its review of this model 5/2/07. I can't imagine PC Magazine would waste its time or column space reviewing a 3 or 4 year-old model, can you? Is there an agenda here?

Dear member britonmark, I can only excuse your rude comment recognizing that you have been a member only since May 3, 2009, and have never even written a comment. First if there is a method for you to retract your comment, I suggest that you do so immediately; I will be proceeding to report your inappropraite behavior. Next, if you, or anyone else doubts the accuracy of my review, particularly the purchase date, there is a $1000 bet offered to you, 100:1 odds, in your favor, I will prove my purchase date with original receipt - care to go for it?

Built In Tunner (Reply to this comment)
by DGodesky
I am sure you are correct, and I stand corrected if that is what folks are finding. Our only other experience is that the 54-inch model we bought in 2003 (Hitachi) was one of the few (RCA was the other) offering built in tuners, and the 15 inch Polaroid we have does not have one. But things are changing fast. Thanks.

These TVs include built in over-the-air antenna tuners (NTSC/ATSC tuners with Clear QAM for high definition signal reception), a feature usually found only in high-end brands/models.
Pretty much standard on every model today, even the low priced models like Vizio, Polaroid, Olevia, Sanyo....
