Ease of Use:
Pros:lightweight, durable, classy appearance.
Cons:a fingerprint magnet, bad graphics, loud fan.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this to people who need something lightweight to get things done on the go, but also something that has style, which both the netbook has.
I got my eee pc 1005HA netbook around 5 months ago, just after it came out. my first impression of the netbook was, "PRETTY!" and yes, it was very pretty. Mine was in black, and there are tiny specks of blue (they look like glitter) on it. very classy. The trackpad is pretty unusual, little raised balls which felt odd at first but you'll get used to it soon. However, the right and left click of the trackpad is joined together. So if you want to left click or right click you have to do it at the very end of it, the nearer you click near the middle, the harder you have to press. Coming from my dell vostro, that took a long time for me to get used to.

Compared to other netbooks, this is one of the prettiest one i've seen. They were right to call it a seashell, it is very slick like one. Imagine macbook air, netbook style.
Now, as for the performance of the netbook, it is pretty much like every other netbook. Enough for your surfing needs, listening to some tunes and read an ebook. But if you're getting this to watch high definition movies? forget it. High quality and high definition youtube movies will NOT work on this netbook, not well enough anyway. You'll get around around 1 fps. Yes, 1 fps, the whole screen will be stuck.
I've noticed that the fan will suddenly become very loud and distracting, even though I am not doing any heavy work on it. (at most, I have 9 tabs running in google chrome). With 9 tabs running and a notepad opened, the task manager tells me my CPU usage is 95%.
the netbook can also run pretty hot if you put it on your lap. Yes, i know that you are supposed to use laptops on flat surfaces instead of pillows or your lap but this IS a netbook after all.
With the 3 cell battery, I get around 2 hours of usage with wifi on and 100% screen brightness when surfing the net. I consider that pretty good, and you can upgrade it to the 6 cell battery if you feel 2 hours is not sufficient.
I use my netbook in school mainly since we are all required to bring laptops to school. It is very small and lightweight, i love it. [and even more when i see my classmates lugging around their heavy dell in their messenger bags.]
If you don't mind the slightly higher price than other netbooks, and you value both form and functionality, than this netbook is for you.
