Pros: Good picture, pretty good compatibility.
Cons: No hardware texture & lighting acceleration, pretty slow.
The Bottom Line: Only buy it if you're hurting for cash. I'd recommend the 64mb version, though.

| dcool1's Full Review: ATI RADEON 7000, (32 MB) PCI Video Card |
I used to be pretty satisfied with this card, until I ran some benchmarks against my other computer with a voodoo 2 and it spanked the Radeon....I used Quake 2 timedemo and 3dMark2000. Not too bad for a PCI card, but consider something faster if you want a card that is ready for the future. Get the latest drivers from the website, for sure. Easy to install. Supports pretty high resolutions. I wish mine had the TV out like the AGP version does.
If anyone else has run this card on quake 2 timedemo or 3dMark2000 or 2001, please email me at dcool1@mail.com with your results. Mine scored at 431 3dMarks in 2001, and 937 in 2000. 26.1 fps in Quake with massive1 at 640x480, 16.4 fps with crusher, and 34 fps with demo1. I'm running a Celeron 400 w/ 256 MB of memory.
