Pros: Great Graphics, Lots of software with package
Cons: A little on the high side as far as price. But I guess that is why they included the software with the package

| newdreams's Full Review: ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 128 Pro, (32 MB) AGP Video Card |
I originally purchased the All-In-Wonder 128 Pro for a totally new gaming experience! I figured since my brothers had good graphics, that I should jump on the band wagon. And besides, I was pleased with ATI it never failed me So far.
Well to my pleasure, the card put me in heaven from what I experienced with my old ATI card. I played with the demo that comes with the card, and wow what a great performer. I have a AMD K6 3D computer, and the clarity was to die for. I saw water that looked as if you could take a swim in it. The on board memory helps with smooth transitions when you are moving through a cavern or under water. It is almost life like the way you move around in the gaming worlds.
There are a lot more features than just playing fun games. You can watch T.V. shows on your computer, and if you want to repeat what the people just said, all you have to do is press the replay button, and it replays what you just missed. If you are busy on the net, don't worry, you can record it on the digital video recorder. I usually record half hour intervals, because a lot of the T.V. programs are about 30 minutes long. or if you want, you can set it for more time. After you record your movie, you can edit it. The video is so clear!
The card comes with a pretty comprehensive package. As well as the T.V., and the recorder, it has a video cd player, which I have just picked up some from Hong Kong. If you know someone with video cd's it is a good time to bring em over and watch some movies. As well as the Vcd, you have your DVD software which is pretty good too. You think that is all, you are off by a long shot. You have the option of taking still pictures from your vcd and dvd movies, as well as T.V.shows. You can put those pictures you take on your Desktop as a backdrop, or you can send the pictures to friends via email, straight from the recorder.
I am doing a lot of projects with video editing. I am in the process of putting video on my website. I first create the video in the video editing programs that are supplied with the card (ulead video studio), and make avi files. Then I take the avi files, and put them into the Real Producer program, and make them into rm files. After this is done, I upload the files with the proper web page onto the server, and whalla you have a video on the web. That is a little bit of web tech for you, without the html course. If that is too much work for you, you can just transfer the movie straight to a video tape so you can watch it on T.V.
Another program for all you gamers out there, is the Merlin VR program. This program lets you build your own 3D models and animations. It is a little above my head, but I will get used to it as I play with it more. The graphics card really makes this program stand out. You can put lighting to the shapes you build, and filters, which make the objects look so real. There is so much more you can do with this program. This is a whole different level of computer life style.
The All-In-Wonder 128 Pro also has a connection for you to hook up your T.V. to. By doing this you can put your tv in a place where others can see what your doing (That is if you are in a full room playing an online game, or watching a program on T.V.) I have two vcr's in series, and The T.V. monitoring what I am looking at on the computer. It makes it more convenient for others to help you when you edit videos.
since I got my new graphics card, I had a better time on the computer, with games, T.V., web site development, and other fun things. You won't be dissapointed when you purchase this graphics card. Get ready to take a step into a whole new world of sight and imagination, as you step into the ATI ZONE.
