this machine functions very poorly; the quality of the recording is awful, the machine picks up when there is no call, the remote message access cuts you off mid-message. On top of the poor quality of the product, AT&T has very little customer service. They wanted me to send the answering machine in for them to look at and then they would decide if it was malfunctioning. Doesn't make too much sense to spend $15.00 postage for a $20 answering machine. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra cash for a better machine. I personally will never but an AT&T product again.
