my experience with this product
I bought this answering machine at Ames department store, and I got it on a Tuesday with my grandpa, and made him use his senior citizen's discount so I could get it for 10% off the original price of $25.
This is where I went awry. Since my grandfather knew I had an answering machine, he had an excuse to call me even when he knew I was not home, and tell me about whatever he was doing at the moment. Watching taped classics of Phil Donahue or needing to run to the store to get more Depends and so on, which brings me to the features:
what I like about this product
It has Caller ID number announce, so I know when Gramps is calling and I just don't answer, because if I have to hear that rediculous incident about the goat and the avocado one more time, I'm going to push him down the steps. It also has time/day stamp, call screening/intercept which comes in handy for telemarkets and collection agencies (both which seem to have a knack for interrupting porn), and remote access if you need to check your messages away from home
what I don't like about this product
They only give you 15 minutes of record time! Think about your own grandparents and how long, with all the studdering through out their ramblings, it takes them to tell you anything. Meanwhile you are sitting there thinking T-T-T-TA-TODAY, JUNIOR!
Every day I come home from flipping burgers to listen to 15 minutes of telephone calls of Grandpa after he stomps down off Mt. Sinai each morning with 10 fresh ways to wreck my life.
Unfortunately it is so durable that when I took it in my backyard and ran over it with a tractor it was completely unaffected.
