This book really shocked me when I read all the terrible things that the mother did to this poor kid. I think that the book opened my eyes to what really does go on when a child was abused. The book kept my interest all the way through. I would recommend it to somebody who likes books about personal experiences. I would not recommend it to somebody who has a week stomach. The authors writing style was really person like it told the story to the reader. I suggest the other book that was written as the sequal to "The child called It"
