I loved this book too! (Reply to this comment)

My mom gave me a copy of this book as a gift about 10 years ago and to be honest, I didn't have any desire to read it right away.
When I finally got around to picking it up, I was so sorry I didn't read it sooner.
It soon became one of my favorites as well.
Thanks for writing about it.
I may just have to re-read it! :o)

I confess... (Reply to this comment)

though I've just about everything she's ever written, I usually despise the female leads. They're usually whiny, wimpy or just really high maintenance. Not my fave. Still, I keep coming back for more! I think Legends was one that I enjoyed the most.
great review,

Some years Helen, those stress levels seem to come every day. Jude D. was there during the worst of the years...
Some years I'm perfectly content to read Home & Garden type books. That's where I am now, but I like to know my old friends are there when I need them.
Love back at you & your Pogo!

I could really use a Knight in Shining Armor right about now. Do you know if they take trade-ins?
This sounds like the kind of escapist book I enjoy when the stress levels reach that ballistic benchmark.
Great review, as always! Hugs to the puppy people.
Much love,
Helen and Pogo
