Pros: Cleanses pretty well; removes makeup well; not drying; nice lather; concentrated; nice scent
Cons: Doesn't deep-clean pores; a bit pricey
The Bottom Line: This is a pretty good cleanser, but it doesn't deep-clean my pores. It does everything else well, though, and I will purchase it again.

| moonsista's Full Review: A+ Skin Care Products Origins A Perfect World Deep... |
Several years ago I was introduced to the Origins brand by a few of the Category Leads and Advisors in the Beauty category here at Epinions. I had never heard of the brand until I started reading their reviews. They were addicted to Origins brand at the time and got me hooked. While I didn't stay completely hooked on this natural, earth-friendly brand, I do go back to it from time to time. I usually end up liking the Origins products I try. My most recent purchase is Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea. Not surprisingly, this is a pretty good product.
Product Details:
Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea is one of several products in Origins' A Perfect World skincare line. This line's base is white tea, which is a powerful antioxidant for the skin. The line includes several other skincare products as well as a couple of body care products.
This cleanser comes in just one size, which is 5 oz. It comes in a somewhat short, white, flexible plastic tube that has a white plastic flip-bottom cap.
From Origins.com: This perfect foaming-face wash is formulated with nature’s rare Silver Tipped White Tea. In a pre-emptive sweep, dirt-grabbing minerals combined with the gentle, skin-compatible cleansing action of Palm, Coconut and Oat Amino Acid reach deep to help detoxify and free skin of harmful, free radical-releasing impurities before they settle down and cause skin-aging oxidation, deterioration, dehydration and even some forms of irritation. Skin is perfectly clean, smoothed and refreshed.
Origins states that this product is best for combination/dry skin.
Origins also states on the packaging for this product that it is free of parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin, DEA, synthetic color, synthetic fragrance and animal ingredients.

My Experience:
I was particularly attracted to this product because it claimed to be deep-cleaning. I wasn't sure if it was going to be a foaming or a non-foaming cleanser, as there are several brands out there now that have non-foaming cleansers. It's not essential to have a cleanser that foams, but I like foam. It helps me feel that my face is really getting clean. Luckily for me, this one foams!
Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea is a thick, white cleanser. It dispenses easily from the squeeze tube and isn't runny. It's easy to control just how much you want to dispense from the tube. It takes just a very small amount (barely the size of a pea) to cleanse my entire face, so a little of this cleanser goes a long way. At $20 for five ounces, this is a good thing. This stuff foams up quickly as soon as it is mixed with water.
I use a washcloth to cleanse my face. I always thought that just using my hands didn't work very well and I like the little bit of exfoliation that I get form using a washcloth. When I put just a tiny amount - again, barely the size of a pea - on the washcloth and add water to make some lather, I get plenty of lather and bubbles.
I like the way that Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea cleans my face. While I'm washing my face, my face feels good. This cleanser doesn't make my face tingle or anything, but it feels good and slippery while I'm washing my face with it. It also rinses clean and doesn't leave a residue at all. It doesn't leave my face particularly moisturized, but, thankfully, it doesn't leave my face feeling dry either. My face feels clean and refreshed when I'm done using this cleanser.
Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea removes makeup pretty well. I usually wash my face first and then remove any remaining makeup with a makeup remover after I'm done. This cleanser removes makeup as good as or better than any cleanser I've used recently. I really like how it performs in this area. There isn't a trace of foundation or blush left on my face when I'm done cleasning - the only things that are left most of the time are mascara and eyeliner.
One area in which I'm not thrilled with this cleanser, however, is that it doesn't really deep clean. It doesn't clear out my clogged pores. Granted, clogged pores that have a build-up of makeup, oil, dirt and dead skin cells are hard to get clean. My pores are always filling up with these four things and needs to be scrubbed daily because it builds up fast. Luckily, my clogged pores don't lead to zits or pimples - but I still want the junk cleared out as often as possible. This cleanser just doesn't do that, and I doubt that any cleanser really can clear them out. The only thing that really works for me is a good facial scrub and a textured facial sponge.
One nice thing about this cleanser that is worth mentioning is the scent. It has a nice, orangey scent that smells just like baby aspirin to me. I love that scent! It's not a faint scent but isn't over-powering either - it's a medium strength, refreshing scent and is one that is nice at any time of the day.
Overall, I really like Origins A Perfect World Deep Cleanser with White Tea . It does most of what I want a cleanser to do and it does those things well. I also like that it is concentrated - one five ounce tube lasts for a couple of months. I recommend this cleanser to anyone who wants to try a non-drying, foaming cleanser that removes makeup well.
