Great beer, especially draft

This is one good beer. It's the first beer I truly loved. It has a nice, light but complex flavor. There's a hint on raspberry in the beer (hence the name Purple Haze).

Unfortunately, this beer suffers greatly in bottled form. From what I hear, they had to change the recipe in order to bottle it, and the new version is much more bitter than the draft version.

You probably have to be in Louisiana to get this beer in draft, and if you get a chance to do so, I highly recommend it.

Though beer purists will probably scoff at the whole idea ("real beer doesn't need fruity flavoring"), it's a good one to give a try. Long time beer drinkers looking for something a little new or people who don't typically like beer should definitely give this one a try.
