| Joyous5's Full Review: Abita Purple Haze |
Abita Purple Haze is a very flavorful, light beer. The top note seems to be one of berries and clear water. I love this beer for its crisp, clean taste. It is a very refreshing beer that is perfect for pairing with anything off the grill. In the summer, prime grilling months, this beer can be paired with anything that you can imagine to grill. How about a juicy steak, and a mixed grill of veggies fresh from the garden? Also a good beer with chicken. Purple Haze is not bitter and leaves no aftertaste. I would think that anyone who has a penchant for Rolling Rock or Pete's Wicked would enjoy this beer. If you are seeking out a heavy dark brew leave this one alone. Purple Haze can be purchased at most groceries and at pubs that feature smaller breweries and mico-brews.
