Ahhhh yes...... Absolute is by far my vodka of choice. Come to a party with Popov? Heck no, that stuff is poisonous. Smirnov? Thats gettin a little better but the bitter alcohol taste that dominates the vodka flavor is too much, it's garbage too. Absolute is quality vodka, for quality people.
There are many drinks that go well with vodka, it can be found in mixed drinks, and vodka also comes in shot form as a lemon drop. A lemon drop consists of a shot glass filled with vodka (hopefully Absolut) sugar around the rim, and a lemon in your hand. Its just like a shot of tequila but substitute the salt with the sugar. Vodka is found in mixed drinks like the fameous Long Island iced tea. There are many variations of this drink but the way I find it to be made is a shot of vodka, a shot of tequila, a few shots of Tripple Sec, fill with mountain dew, then a splash of coke at the end for the "tea" color. A white russian is also a favorite among many that enjoy quality Absolut vodka. This one ocnsists of ice cubes, fill 3/4 of glass with white cream khalua, then a shot or 2 of Absolut. Enjoy.
The empty Absolut bottles make for nice decorations in college student houses. Kinda like the hunters way of showing his great hunting skills by mounting the head of his kills on the walls of his home, the Absolut junkie carefully places his or her empty bottles on a shelf, making sure to always have the Absolut logo facing the room, not the wall.
Absolut also makes quality flavored vodka such as Absolut Citron, and Absolut Mandrin. They also have the Absolut 100, which I havn't taken the liberty to try yet. If you are going to consume this quality beverage, do it responsably, always have a designated driver.
