| philpott6's Full Review: Acco Rubber Band Ball with At Least 260 Multicolor... |
I was working this summer with my sister in law and she had to pass out a ton of fliers. Standing there and handing them to people was too monotonous and boring. We decided to rubber band them to peoples door handles. Off I went to the store to pick out some rubber bands. I saw the rubber band ball and snatched it up. I have an inner child in me what can I say. I wanted to play with the ball as much as work with it.
I had no idea how perfect the rubber bands from the ball were going to be for our project. They were just the right size, and not to skinny that they would break. The width of them was a little smaller than the top end of a pen cap. I could put a bundle of them on my wrist. They werent to loose or too tight causing my blood circulation to be cut off. There circumference was about 3" 1/2 inches. The need to put them on our wrists was imperative because we had roller blades on going from house to house; if we happened to fall we needed our hands to catch ourselves and also to hold onto the railings to make it up stairs. They also fit perfect on door handles. They slid right on but we didnt have to worry about the wind blowing them off.
Did I mention that they are full of fun colors? Well they are. I am a happy person and the plain old brownish yellow rubber bands just would not cut it for me. I wanted vibrancy and liveliness to further get our point across. Color makes more of a statement; I found exactly what I needed in the rubber band ball.
While we were going through the tedious process of stapling the rubber bands to paper retrieving one off the ball turned out to be quick and accessible, another unexpected perk. When I would get a sore neck and boredom overtook me, I would throw the ball against the wall, up and down, pretty much anywhere; this was a great tension relieving process. I plan on being a school teacher this discovery about the ball being a tension reliever will help me out a lot in the future Im guessing.
The rubber band ball is also easy to store, it fits in small places. It is about the size of a raquettball, that is smaller than a baseball, but bigger than a golf ball. You dont have to worry about a big mess to clean up due to a spill because the rubber bands are pretty tight on the ball. They will fit right in a desk and wont take up a ton of space, like a bag would.
I defiantly recommend getting the ball because of easy storage, fun colors, they dont break as quick as most rubber bands, they arent too big and they are just the right width, not to mention a relief from boredom and stress.
A helpful warning, if you have a huge project and will use all your rubber bands very quickly I don't recommend getting the rubber band ball because there are only about 275 rubber bands. For anything else go for it. It is great.
