Pros: Decent viewable area, inexpensive
Cons: Problematic
The Bottom Line: I would buy one at the current price of 89.00. At the price I paid, $250, it is too much.

I purchased this model in the summer of 2000. It has been working well until just recently. About once every half-hour it seems to just shutoff for a second and goes back on. I have checked all of the cables and connections and they are all tight with that being ruled out. There seems to be a short inside and this is so inexpensive to repair compared to the replacement costs. As an advanced electronics hobbyist, I surmise there is a problem inside with a capacitor. It is a fix that will costless than 10.00 to repair, but I am concerned that disassembling it will cause more problems. I am just waiting for it to die totry and repir it but I will nonetheless buy another brand and use this as a backup. Overall, I feel I should have gotten more than 2 1/2 years of life out of this 250.00 item.
