Every year, it is an absolute certainty that i will get a cold! There is not a thing in the world i could do about it! I would get it first, then it would spread around the family! What if there was a product on the market that could help build your immunity so that it could fight off infections and colds? Yes you're right, there are many that claim to do that already, but do they work? I was not going to let myself get a cold this year and decided to try one of the products on the market that claim to help build your immunity and that product is the Halls ProHealth Defense Dietary Supplement!
The packaging of this packet is nice and bright and is instantly appealing when you see it on the shelf. The box is green with bold text. There are a good choice of flavors, though i only tried the blueberry and the Citrus Pomegranate kinds. There are 18 drops in each box which is enough to last just over half a month (if you only take 1 per day and not the 3 it says to take on the box) and at $4.99 a box that is not cheap, but if the product works and keeps me from staying home from work, then it will more than pay for itself (well that was my thinking).
The box states that each drop contains 11 key ingredients to help build your immune system. Those 11 key ingredients are:
Vitamin A
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Zinc
Rose Hips
Echinacea
Pupurea
American Ginseng
Chamomile
Green Tea Extract
Astragalus And
Pomegranate Extract
Please do not ask me to pronounce any of those! Typing them was hard enough! There of course are other ingredients in these tablets, but those listed above are the key ingredients that are supposed to help you immune system. Inside the box you will find 3 invidual packs with 6 drops in each. The tablets are easy to remove from the packaging and they taste great, in fact almost to great! They really taste like candy, you would not know the difference between these and a Jolly Rancher if you did not know! With that in mind as it says on the box, keep these out of the reach of children! I would hate for them to think that these were candy and pop the whole box! Honestly I am not sure what could happen if you happen to overdose on these but I am sure there would be some side effect! Also be aware that the manufacturer suggests that you do not take these for more than an 8 week period or if you are pregnant or breast feeding. If you do have any questions about potential problems or side effects the manufacturer (Cadbury Adams) has listed it phone number on the back of the box 1-800-524-2854
I took the ProHealth Defense drops for the suggested 8 weeks! The 8 week period is when I would normally get my yearly cold! I took 1 per day instead of the suggested 3. I took my drop in the morning and went about my daily routine! Up until this point (this point being the end of the 8 week period) I have been cold free, while other members of my family have had a cold! Maybe I got lucky this year, or maybe taking the ProHealth Defense really did help me. I have stopped taking them for a while as suggested by the manufacturer and it will be interesting to see if I develop a cold in the meantime but as of now I have been foot loose and fancy free of the horrible yearly cold.
I was skeptical at first, but I really do believe that these really did help me this year. It is the first year in many that I have not had a common cold and the only thing I have done differently is take these drops. I would honestly say, give them a try! Maybe you will find that they will work for you as they have for me!
