A friend let me wear his Predators after he got new cleats and the Predators were fairly worn. Besides that the cleat part had been worn down dramatically, this was a great-kicking soccer cleat. As I play sweeper most of the time, I have to take goal kicks and this shoe increased my goal kicking range by almost 15 yards, just from the difference in hardness and padding of other cleats.
The other position I play is midfield, so I find myself taking many shots from the 18 and beyond, and to get these shots in, I must use a whole different approach that goal kicks, and when I took my first shot in these cleats, from about 30 yards, I thought it was going to go way over, as the goal kicks had gone very high and far, but instead I barely leaned over the ball, took a shot and the ball just flew right to the goal, about 2 feet off the ground the whole time, with much less effort than what was required with my last pair of cleats, a $30 pair.
I still use those cleats once in a while and they have really lasted a long time, besides the cleat part. This was a great shoe at a not-so-great price.
