| quizamo's Full Review: Adobe Premiere 6.0 Full Version for PC (25500323) |
I purchased Adobe Premiere 6.0 at the beginning of the year, just days after purchasing a $7,000 Sony camera to start my Videography business for internet companies and weddings. With just a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop 5, I wasn't quite as threatened by the toolbars, which should be familiar to any Adobe product user.
Creating a professional, broadcast quality tape is simple. Shoot your footage, then connect your camera to your computer via firewire (HIGHLY recommended over the three-prong RCA connection used for VCRs). Select import, and the program will begin to store your raw footage to your hard drive. If you can operate a VCR, you can capture video from your camera with this program.
Adding multiple clips to the movie is as simple as drag and drop. You can rearrange the order in which the movie clips play, and you can even slice up one clip to play in any order.
Looking like a professional editor has never been this easy. Simply overlap two movie clips on the easy to use timeline, and drag and drop the transition effect of your choice. You can have one clip fade out as a second clip fades in, as well as numerous other professional special effects.
Adding a sound track is also as easy as drag and drop. Use Adobe's Quicktracks CD to make a soundtrack just the right length, or even drag and drop your MP3 files without having to convert them to a format!
When you've completed your work, just select export, and Premiere will send the finished product back to your camera or VCR without losing picture or sound quality.
Want to put your work online? Select the Save for Web option and save as a streaming RealMedia, QuickTime, or Windows Media Player file, and it's immediately ready for upload to any server.
The one downside to the program is the demands it puts on your computer hardware. If you want this program to work well, the latest and greatest processor with RAM and hard drive space to spare is a MUST. If you're computer is already supercharged, you're set. If not, look to update or buy a new machine. I purchased a Pentium 4 1.4 Ghz 256MB RAM machine with 40 Gigs of HD space, and it has supported Premiere tremendously.
The $540 I spent on the product may be high for some, but I have made my money back 100 fold and have work to prove it.
