Pros:Hand-on activties, Interesting facts, Rock climb/Moonwalk
Cons:Admission was pricey for my large family, planterium doesnt run on same schedule as museum.
The Bottom Line: A good hands-on museum for kids and families. Tons of activilies and interesting facts to learn about. A good day trip!
Took my four kids to Adventure Science Museum for a fun day out and accomplished my goal! This museum is full of hands on activies. They have mechanical exhibits, a huge playground right in the middle. There is a health exhibit with some carnival like games, a lazer gun game to kill germs, and even a dance game to get the blood moving. My two oldest love the moon walk and rock climb! The have a space walk which my husband and I thought was cool, it is really dark in there with just stars while you walk through. They also have a planetarium but it was closed when we went. Admission in my opinion was higher than I expected or wanted to pay. $12 for adults and $10 for kids. Then you pay for lazer shows or planetarium shows, which we didnt get to do that day anyway. They have a little rest area with tables and snack machines, with a view of downtown nashville. Parking was free, which can be hard to find now. The staff was friendly but not around the inner parts of the museum. The playground in the middle is easily acceptable for parents to play with their kids or at least go n and get them if they need to. Ample restrooms and clean!
