Taking a migraine medicine that doesn't taste bad...Advil Migraine

I have suffered from Migraines for a long time now. My mother used to depend on Tylenol and prescriptions products to relieve my pain when I was younger. Now I tend to rely on Advil instead of Tylenol, along with my prescription medications.
Advil Migraine is the first and only FDA approved migraine product in a liquid-filled capsule. Obviously, Advil Migraine is used to treat migraine pain. This product comes in one of those hard to get open white bottles with a flip-top childproof lid. Twenty Ibuprofen 200 mg liquid filled capsules are included.
~ Symptoms ~
Some migraine symptoms include:
- Throbbing on one side of your head
- Sensitivity to lights
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Changes in mood
- Blind spots
~ Causes ~
There are many causes of migraine pain. Physiological, emotional, and environmental factors can all contribute to bringing on a migraine headache.
- Stress
- Lack of sleep
- Fatigue
- Certain foods
- Hormonal changes (sorry ladies!)
- Missing a meal
- Changes in altitude
- Alcohol
- Chocolate
- Caffeine

Uh, put it in your mouth and swallow?
Recommended dosage for adults is two capsules with a glass of water. You should not take more than two capsules in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor to do so. I wouldn't recommend this product for persons under 18 years of age unless prescribed by a doctor.

~*~ My Thoughts ~*~
At the age of seven, I was diagnosed with Pediatric Migraines. At the age of eighteen, my doctor diagnosed me again with having acute migraine headaches. So this is something that I have been dealing with my whole life. Instead of getting the shots of Imitrex, or even using the nose spray (which was really disgusting), I chose to use Advil Migraine. I can not afford to be slowed down during the day with a migraine. This product is tough on my migraine pain.
With so many migraine medications and aspirins, I find myself wanting to spit them right back out after putting them in my mouth, because they leave a bad taste. Not Advil Migraine! This product comes in a solubilized capsule, leaving no medicinal aftertaste after popping it into your mouth.
The only problem I see with this product is the bottle. Yes, it is a good bottle if you have children around, but I often find myself feeling incompetent when I try to open this product. Usually when you have a child-proof bottle, it is really easy for an adult to get into. Not this product! You have to line up the arrows and apply, with both thumbs, some serious pressure to get this bottle open. This is a real hit to your self-esteem.
Overall, I have no problems with using this Advil Migraine medicine. Now that they have come out with the prescription Imitrex tablets to take instead of the nasal spray and shots, my doctor prefers me to use that for faster relief. But I usually have to be home when using Imitrex because I do get the side effects from taking this prescription product. I often find that I can catch the migraine as it is coming on and use this Advil Migraine to fight off the migraine before it becomes really bad and I have to resort to using the Imitrex.
It's not a bad over-the-counter product to fight your migraine pain. It works pretty fast compared to other products of this nature and I have no side effects what so ever.
