| angelwings724's Full Review: Aero Pillowtop AeroBed Twin / Queen Size Mattress |
As mentioned in another review, my family loves camping and getaways. We frequently go camping throughout the summer or stay in hotels going on vacation. We got really tired of sleeping bags, so we went in search of an air mattress a few years ago.
For my husband and I, we chose the Imaginair Pillow Top Aerobed. We have never been disappointed with our purchase.
About the Bed
First of all, the bed is made of heavy-duty PVC for lasting durability. It is non-allergenic and the Pillowtop AeroBed is electronically welded at the seams for added strength and durability. The pillow top surface is extremely soft and velvety and also quite thick. The entire mattress is 10" thick, 3" more than the regular Aero bed. The pump is already attached to the bed, but must be plugged into an outlet to use it. (We always carry a generator along with us). It inflates in 60 seconds and will not overinflate. It has a comfort control which allows you to inflate to your own comfort level. The bed deflates in 15 seconds. It is so wonderful not having to wait long for the bed to inflate/deflate.
Whats Included
The bed comes with the air pump, already attached, the comfort control and a carrying bag. There is a mattress cover that you can purchase seperately, made especially for the Aero bed. I highly recommend getting it to protect your bed. A repair kit is also included for minor tears.
Sizes
Twin -- 74"L X 39"W X 10"H -- supported weight 650 pounds
Full -- 74"L X 54"W X 10"H -- supported weight 650 pounds
Queen -- 78"L X 60"W X 10"H -- supported weight 750 pounds
All of these sizes fit the standard size sheet sets.
There is a limited 1 year warranty.
Cleaning the bed is fairly easy. The PVC wipes clean with a damp cloth. The manufacturers don't recommend getting the pillow top wet as it will eventually damage the surface. This is why I highly recommend the mattress cover.
The bed is very comfortable. It is much better than sleeping in sleeping bags. We also use it as an extra bed at home when relatives or other visitors come to stay with us. It is so easy to operate and only takes minutes to get it all set up. When not in use, just roll it up and place it in its carrying case and store in a closet.
This bed has been very good and durable. I highly trust the Aero bed. It does exactly what it says it will do. There are many other brands on the market, but I will always purchase Aero beds. We have the Queen size and it has withstood many camping trips and many guests sleeping on it. Everyone who has slept on it at our house has raved about it.
Price
We paid $189 for our Queen size two years ago. They range from about $120-$200 now. It all depends on where you buy it. We purchases ours online. At the time, we couldn't find the pillow top anywhere else.
