Pros: Easy to carry and inflate, comfy, fun to play with!
Cons: Noisy (if you move a lot when you sleep), stretches.
The Bottom Line: As air mattresses go, it's oodles of fun. As mattresses go, it's still pretty nice.

| meeshling's Full Review: Aero Raised Aerobed (Twin, Full, Queen) |
I first slept on an Aerobed when I slept at a friend's house a few years ago. With the lines and the cover that she had put on it, it was quite cozy. My only complaint was that it was not as hard as I would have liked - I'm used to sleeping on a very hard bed, and the Aerobed did not offer as much support as I would have liked.
So a few months later, we borrowed that same bed that I had spent that night on and went away to Maine for a week, to a little house that was a little short on beds. And I volunteered to sleep on the Aerobed for a whole week. It was fine - again, it did not offer as much support as I would have liked, but it was better than the couch. My only other problem was that when I'm not all comfy and cozy, I tend to move around a lot, tossing and turning, trying to find somewhere comfy to sleep. With the Aerobed I was using, it made horrific sounds as I moved - sort of like someone jumping on a pool toy and squooshing linens into it. Not pretty, but it didn't wake anyone up.
So later that year, after getting so much time out of our friend's Aerobed, we decided to invest in our own. And you know what? It was a lot nicer than the one that I had previously used. It got a lot firmer than the other one, and did not soften as I slept on it - two complaints I had with my previous time on the other Aerobed. And it was not where near as noisy! Hurrah!
But I can only guess that after extended wear, the Aerobed probably does get a little 'stretched out' and will get louder in noisey-ness as time goes on and more people sleep on it. But for now, the Aerobed has found its home in our house, and no one has to sleep on the floor again ;).
Some Basic Info
The Aerobed comes with the air-mattress, a nice cover, a duffel bag to carry it in, and the pumper thing. It inflates really fast, and it fits most normal linens. While in bed, you can adjust the firmness by either pressing a button to release air or a button to pump more air into it. You can inflate it while you're sitting on it, too - entertaining for hours on end! The only complaint I have is that the release valve is sometimes a little hard on fingers to open. It needs to be plugged in to be pumped up.
