The Good:
I got this nifty little camera for Christmas this year. Great! I was dying to get a camera to take pictures for my business, without the fuss of developing film. I was also hopeful I could use it to capture frames for "primitive" animation. The photos are of very decent quality, and it's so easy to use they didn't even need to include the booklet with it. The battery life is incredible, and it works just as well when hooked up to a computer via USB. It's a teeny tiny little thing, and even comes with a lanyard to wear it around with.
The Bad:
Unfortunately, I have not been able to test its webcam capabilities, as Yahoo doesn't consider it a usable camera.
I used this nifty little gadget for a good two weeks. Yes, the photos are decent, but you need a LOT of light to make them come out right. The video quality is, shall we say, lacking. I uploaded my pictures to the computer one evening, then unhooked the USB to go take a picture of my dog. Beep-beep. Nothing. No picture stored. Takes video fine, takes both video and photos fine on the USB. But no more pictures when running only off batteries. WTF?!? I've e-mailed Aiptek 3 times over 2 weeks, and have not gotten so much as a confirmation back. They have no toll-free number.
The Lowdown:
AWESOME little camera... when it works.
