Pros: Very cool concept
Cons: Not durable at all
We bought this toy for my son, who is 7, for Christmas this year. We had seen some people playing with one at the park one day and we thought it was pretty fascinating. Well, to say I was disappointed, is an exaggeration. This toy broke the first day. The wings were the first to go, and although I know that you can replace them, after just a little while that gets pricy. The third or forth time it was thrown, it hit the ground pretty hard and the body cracked. To replace the body is more expensive than what I paid for the whole thing. Now I am aware, if thrown properly, it will work well, but how is a child going to learn how without trial and error. This thing didn't last through "trial" much less "error". Maybe an older child would have better luck, but not much better. My husband crashed and burned a couple of the times it was thrown. Maybe a more expensive, better made one would be a better option. I like the concept, it is really cool, but only if it works! I am not sure if a heavier body would even work, just by aerodynamic principals, but that seems like it would be better.
