| SanguinMoon's Full Review: Airborne Effervescent Health Formula Dietary Suppl... |
Airborne is truly one of the most remarkable products that has emerged in the over-the-counter health field since NyQuil.
We're all familiar with Vitamins, herbs, medicines... but when it comes down to suffering with a cold or flu...what can you really do? What are your options?
Drink lots of fluids...feed the cold...rest...sleep it off...chicken soup... we've heard it all before yes?
I'm usually willing to try most anything when I get sick. (A girl once told me..."There's no such thing as a man...with a cold") and she's right. I'm a baby when I get sick, but life goes on. So what do you do?
Go to see your Dr? What for? He can't give you anything, but he can charge you for everything.
Let me give you a quick background on me so you know why I choose to use Airborne the first time.
I suffer with Ulcerative Colitis. My prescribed medicines were doing more harm than good. I was dying, until I saw a homoeopathist that saved my life. It was from then on that I became a believer in herbal remedies, and open to the possibility of cures for ailments outside the realm of western medicine.
Halls, Chloraseptic, Tylenol...not that they're inferior products, but they can't do what Airborne can do.
"Airborne". A product specifically developed to counter the effects of the common cold, and similar illnesses.
"Airborne" is an effervescent tablet about the size of 2 quarters back to back. Each tablet contains as its primary ingredients:
Vitamin C - 1000mg - Vitamin C is required for life. The nature of our diets leads to a serious lack of this essential nutrient. This situation may be a leading contributor to much of the sickness and chronic disease that the population of the earth suffers. Vitamin C actually supercharges the immune system's most important cells, helping them to move faster while tracking down potential pathogens such as viruses and bacteria. This means you may not be able to prevent a cold by taking vitamin C, but you probably can make one shorter and less severe.
Vitamin A - 1000 IU - Vitamin A promotes healthy surface linings of the eyes and the respiratory, urinary, and intestinal tracts. When those linings break down, it becomes easier for bacteria to enter the body and cause infection. Vitamin A also helps maintain the integrity of skin and mucous membranes, which also function as a barrier to bacteria and viruses. Retinol is one of the most active, or usable, forms of vitamin A, and is found in animal foods such as liver and whole milk and in some fortified food products. Retinol is also called preformed vitamin A. It can be converted to retinal and retinoic acid, other active forms of the vitamin A family.
Vitamin E - Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects cell membranes and other fat-soluble parts of the body, such as low-density lipoprotein (LDL; bad cholesterol) cholesterol, from damage.
Magnesium - Magnesium is an essential mineral to the human body. It is needed for bone, protein, and fatty acid formation, making new cells, activating B vitamins, relaxing muscles, clotting blood, and forming adenosine triphosphate (ATP; the energy the body runs on). The secretion and action of insulin also require magnesium.
Zinc - Zinc is critical to maintain a healthy body. Without it, more than 300 enzymes cannot work properly. Zinc helps the body fight off a range of viral infections from strep throat and influenza to herpes and the common cold, and especially respiratory infections. Zinc has been proven to boost the immune system and shorten the duration of a cold.
Potassium - Is a key element in maintaining electrolyte balance.
Echinacea - is a herbal remedy that's known for its immunological benefits and is commonly advertised for use during the cold and flu season. Stimulates the immune system. Increases the activity of immune cells. Shortens the duration of colds and flus.
Ginger - It is used to promote cleansing, alleviate nausea, and stimulate appetite. Ginger is considered good for the digestion and beneficial against congestion. It has a stimulating and expectorant action in the lungs, expelling phlegm and relieving coughs. Lowers fever & it moves stagnation of food and accumulation of toxins, which has a far-reaching effect throughout the body, increasing general health and vitality and enhancing immunity.
Lonicera - Detoxicate; Clears away toxic substances. Kills or inhibits the action of germs. Cools and reduces fever and heat. Reduces ulcers, swell, sore throat, skin infection. Clears the lungs and strengthens general health.
Forsythia - To clear heat and release toxins. Forsythia is typically used to detoxify the body, and to treat fevers, headaches and excessive thirst.
Schizonepeta - Relieves wind cold, antispasmodic. Can be used for the onset of the common cold and influenza when they are accompanied by a headache and sore throat.
Chinese Vitex - It is the single best herb for treating the many possible symptoms of PMS: cramps, flooding, headaches, depression, water retention, constipation, acne, breast tenderness, and irritability.
Isatis Root - Isatis root is a renowned antiviral and antibacterial, which makes it quite useful for conditions such as colds, influenza, sore throats and mumps.
-with amino acids and electrolytes as well.
Ok, so that was a bit much to read, but essential information for the consumer I believe. Know what you're putting into your body, and now that you do...why haven't you been doing it all along? That's what I asked myself.
How well does AIRBORNE work?
When taken at the first sign of a cold. I felt relief within' hours of my first dose, and considerably better the next day. It generally takes me a week to 2 weeks easy to rid my body of a cold (that is if it doesn't become bronchitis or pneumonia) AIRBORNE is not a an over-the-counter that masks your symptoms...it treats your symptoms.
Here's some of the things I love most about it.
1. It's easy to take. Just drop one tablet in a small amount of water (1/4 to 1/2 cup) Wait a minute for it to dissolve and drink.
2. It tastes good. There's orange flavored and lemon -lime, both of which taste similar to their soda flavored counterparts.
3. If you want to take NyQuil to help you sleep at night, you may. Since AIRBORNE is a product based on vitamins & herbs...there are no drug interactions.
4. It's safe for both Adults and children, with a variety specifically for kids including gummi airborne.
5. It's effective. What better plug can I give to anything than to simply say "It works!"
6. It's also great as a preventative. Before you go into a crowded room, a concert, a classroom, an airplane where airborne illnesses and bacteria is abound, take one prior to entering that environment and boost your immune system so you don't have to deal with the aftermath after assimilating another's germs.
7. Aside from your annual physical, you'll be seeing less of your Doctor. Nothing wrong with a little extra cash in your pocket, especially for those that may not have health insurance.
On a side note...I'm an allergy sufferer as well, and I found my everyday allergy symptoms to have been lessened after taking AIRBORNE. Specifically the heaviness in my lungs, congestion, and itchy throat.
Here's the link for http://www.airbornehealth.com Read more about it, the 2nd grade teacher who invented it, why she invented it, and testimonials from the average Joe to Kevin Costner himself.
Every so often comes along a product worth raving about. At $5.00 and change at your local Walmart...to never have to suffer as you have in the past...for as long as you have...you'll be raving about it too.
If there isn't a Walmart nearby, Walgreens sells it for $6.99 where I live... On the Aiborne website yu'll find a list of other stores that sell it as well including CVS, A&P, Albertsons, GNC, Rite Aid etc...
Here's to good health.
ADDENDUM: Just so you know...the tablet dissolves in approximately one minute in cool water. If you're using cold water / refrigerated water; allow an additional 30 - 45 seconds for permeation.
