| dev-n-diva's Full Review: Airborne Effervescent Health Formula Dietary Suppl... |
I am on the war path against the cold and flu viruses this Winter. I picked up Airborne Effervescent Health Formula in Lemon-Lime for myself. I have friends who have purchased this since it came out and will not go through a cold and flu season without it. I had not purchased this product before because it reminded me to much of Alka Seltzer and I just can not stomach it.
-Product Information-
Airborne Effervescent Health Formula is easy to find in medicine isle with its colorful characters of people sitting on a plane and colorful germs all over the box it comes in. The actual effervescent tablets come in a 1.7 oz. white plastic tube. There are 10 tablets in the tube. This tube is not child proof. It pops of easily so keep out of reach of children. There is an expiration date stamped at the end of the tube as well as on the box so you know if the tablets are still fresh. These cost around $5-$6 for a tube.
Each of the tablets are the same size as a quarter and come in either orange or lemon lime flavor. All you do is add one tablet to a small amount of water and wait for it to dissolve. You can use either warm or cold water to dissolve the tablet in. I have to use ice cold water with these.
You are supposed to take one tablet before going anywhere were there are groups of people around. Each tablet provides 3 hours of germ fighting power. You can take one tablet every three hours as needed. You can give these to children as well, but cut it in half if you are going to. I purchased the Airborne Jr. for my daughter though.
Airborne was created by second grade teacher Victoria Knight who was tired of catching colds in the classroom. She came up with a formula that is all natural that contains 17 herbs and nutrients.

-My Thoughts-
So now that I have given the information on the medicine what is my verdict you ask. Well the taste is somewhat bearable if I do not think about it. If I actually look at the cloudy concoction with brown flecks through out it my stomach starts to tightening up. As I said earlier on I really hate Alka Seltzer, but I hate being sick even more. So I will tell you what I do. I close my eyes and hold my nose and drink. Yes I know fairly childish, but it just does not sit well with my stomach. I drink a glass of water after taking it and that tends to settle my stomach.
Though I am not big on the flavor or texture I do believe that it helps. I take one tablet a day before I head to the gym. I make sure to get all of my running done before the three hour coverage time is over so I only have to take one tablet a day. I have managed to get a cold once since taking this, but it only lasted a couple of days.
So I am not a real fan of the effervescent tablets, but they have really helped me from getting sick very often and the one time I did it only lasted a couple of days. The days it did last were very mild. I am willing to stomach the tablets as long as they keep working.
