Pros:Affordable, BB catch tray, "sticky" backing.
Cons:Can't see dust!
The Bottom Line: This is a great addition to any airsoft armament!
Ok, as some of you may know, I had first gotten one of these targets with a purchase of a gun. The target included in that kit was smaller and I let dust accumulate on it until it wouldn't function anymore. Stupid me! But, to my surprise, one day while I was at WalMart, I stumbled upon this target. I got it and am very happy.
Target Build
The actual target is made of a sort of gel substance that absorbs the impact of BBs and the BBs then stick to it. After about 5 seconds or so, the BBs slowly roll down into the tray that is supporting the target. This works out nicely because all of your used BBs are collected all nicely for you to reuse. The plastic used as it's main structure is a high quality and durable plastic, it feels as though it can take some abuse.
Storage and Care
This target has two parts to it: the main target and the tray upon which it sits. These two parts come apart easily and store rather nicely when fitted together. I would recommend not leaving it out for an extended period of time like I did with my first "sticky" target. Mine accumulated dust that for some reason was near impossible to clean off. With a layer of dust covering it, the BBs just bounced off and it failed to do it's job. So, to prevent this from happening I would suggest to put it somewhere where it will not see a lot of dust or put it into a large plastic bag.
Quality
I found this product to be very high in quality. It served its purpose fantastically and was a great addition to my airsoft collection. For $8, what I paid, it was well worth it. The fact that the BBs stick in place for a few seconds is really nice so that you can see just where you hit the target. The catch tray at the bottom is also a nice feature so that all of the used BBs are collected in one place ready to be reused or stored for future use.
My Recommendations
-I can't stress this enough, Don't Let Dust Cover The Surface!
-Position yourself at least a good 20 feet away from the target so that the BBs will stick properly.
-A cheap alternative would be to cover a box of some sort with tissue paper(the kind used for gift bags) and put a towel in the box to absorb the BB's impact.
