| caroofikus's Full Review: Aiwa CDC-X227 Car CD Player |
The AIWA CDC-X227 is an excellent receiver for those who want good sound without spending a lot of money. This unit works great not only with aftermarket speakers, but also with the factory speakers you already have. It has lots of features. You can set the display to blue, red, or have it alternate. You can set it to shuffle and repeat. The rotary control knob on the unit is perhaps its most useful and most used part. With it, you can control volume, bass, treble, fade, and balance. The unit also has an H-Bass option which steps up the bass quite a a bit. The detachable faceplate is a nice theft deterrent (just remember to take it off and put it in the case that comes with the receiver). Its only major weak spot is that I had noticed the CD's were hot after being in the unit for only a few minutes. I enjoyed mine, and would still have it had my car not been broken into and it not been stolen.
