| jsm11482's Full Review: Aiwa CDC-X227 Car CD Player |
I initially chose this stereo because I am not a fan of flip-down face plates. It was inexpensive and had all the features that I was looking for. I am next planning to buy an MP3 player, so the aux input in the front is a wonderful extra. The buttons take some getting used to and the settings are scattered. Since I am not big into electronics and will set it once and not ever touch the buttons again, it's not a big deal. The basic CD and Radio navigation buttons are easy to see and use. You have to crank the volume knob to actually make it louder, so that is annoying. It plays CD-RWs and I haven't had any trouble with it skipping. The tuner pulls stations strongly. Face can either be illuminated red or blue. This is a great deck for the money.
