| kirknliz's Full Review: Aiwa HP-CN5 Headphones |
I got my Aiwa HP-CN5's at Best Buy after researching most of the options for noise-canceling headphones. My primary motivation was to eliminate jet engine noise on long trips.
The stress of noise in a jet can really build up. After using the headphones, I found that I was much more relaxed and fresh upon arriving at my destination. They don't block out all of the noise but I would estimate 70% is eliminated.
When there is no background noise, you can hear a low-pitched hum that could be annoying. Switch off the unit and the hum disappears.
They are lightweight and easy to fold and pack. The battery hasn't had to be replaced yet, so I can't estimate battery life.
The only danger is using them where you have to hear something. It blocks out ringing phones, shouting children and doorbells while listening to music, too.
