| mikeynyc's Full Review: Aiwa XP-SR320 Personal CD Player |
I first bought this model about two years ago. After about 9 months of use, I was very happy with the product. From there it started going down hill. The disc would stop or skip (no matter the condition of the cd itself, brand new, still happened.) The radio would go out. Only one ear of the headphones would work at a time. Changed the batteries, same thing. Cleaned the lens, same things. I returned it to Aiwa headquarters and they wanted to charge me $86.00 to fix it and another $8.00 to send it back to me, repaired or not. I told them to keep it.
Fool me once...
so after a few month of not having a Discman, I found a great deal on this same model. I promised myself that I wouldn't buy it but a friend had an employee discount so I went for it, I figured that I just got a lemon the first time around.
Boy was I wrong, this one didn't last two days. It started doing the same things as the first. It was still under the 10 day or so warranty so I brought it back to my friend, who in turn sent it back to be replaced or repaired. Three months later I finally get it back with an invoice that said "repaired" on it. The very first cd I play did the same things as the previous two. The radio did that same things etc... If I fuss with it, it will work one of ten times properly, at best!
I will NEVER buy anything from AIWA again. I advise everyone and anyone to do the same.
