My new car came without a CD player, but I have come to love the sound and convenience of CD's. I chose this model because it was smaller and less bulky than the Sony Discman that my son uses, AND it fits in the console between the front seats. I really dislike having to put it on the passenger's seat or on the floor. I especially like the anti-skip feature, especially since there is a lot of activity in the car at times. The only thing I find a bit inconvenient is the top locking mechanism. It is a little hard to open (especially with one hand), but it is nice that it stays closed. This is a neat-looking unit with easily accessed controls. The only improvement I would make would be to get rid of those ugly cords coming from the power outlet and cassette door.
