Alexis side snap covers are a large part of my stash, mainly for the simple reasons of durability and economy! They aren't my personal "favorites", as those honors go to some fancier, more expensive choices. But, the Alexis covers make up about 90% of my diaper cover assortment.
I definitely go for the side snap styling in these covers. This is a super feature that turns an annoying diaper cover style into a functionality star! Diapers are easy to change and the annoying "drag-the-dirty-diaper-down-the-leg" factor is - *POOF*- gone. I have, on occasion, had a problem with snaps coming off. This seemed to be more frequent in my high ammonia diapers of my toddler. Any retailer should be able to easily replace Alexis covers with this defect, as the wholesaler has very liberal return policies.
Alexis covers also feature nylon material, which, unlike the better known vinyl, won't succumb to cracking and stiffness over time and use. This allows for safer exposure to heat, although air drying is recommended to extend the use. The nylon is also very waterproof. I have used the Alexis covers overnight with outstanding results!
Alexis covers range from about 7.00-8.50 for 2 covers, so they are the highest rater in affordability. The sizes on these also run large because of their loose styling. My small 18 month old, 20 lber wears a medium comfortably. This size is listed at 13-18 lbs.
With so many benefits, it is easy to look past the mundane boredom of the Alexis covers, and appreciate them for their plain functionality!
