Cons: Too greasy for me, make my vision cloudy, smears make up on my face
The Bottom Line: Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing work fine but they're too greasy for my liking. if you don't mind that, they'll do the job on even tough makeup.

I usually don't wear waterproof eye makeup but there are those times when I do or when I need more than my usual cleanser to remove certain mascaras and eyeliners. I bought a tub of Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing for a few bucks and figured they would be fine.
They do remove eye make up but they are so oily that they leave my eyes cloudy for a long time. I switched to the non-oily eye makeup remover pads and like them better.

These pads come in a little white round plastic tub with a screw on/off lid. They are white and very thin. They are wet and there is liquid in the tub as well. They smell nice. They have a fresh, cooling scent. They don't exactly smell like cucumber but the scent is subtle and not too much for the eye area. There are 80 pads to a little tub.
My Experience
The directions say to use a single pad to remove eye makeup then tissue off the residue. I didn't actually know if I should wash my face first or take my eye make up off first so I washed my face then did it. That was pretty dumb.
One pad is super thin and only could remove part of one eye full of mascara and liner. The makeup smeared and I looked like Alice Cooper in his hey day. I did tissue off the residue but my whole eye area was greasy. My eyes were all cloudy, lashes were wet with the oil, and just ugh. This product did moisturize, I guess, but I don't like oil sitting on my face, and IN my eyes.
The next time, I used the Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads before I washed my face. I needed four pads to get rid of all the makeup. Then, instead of tissuing the junk off my face, I washed my face as usual. That was better. The oil was still around my eyes but not nearly as badly as when I used it without using my cleanser after.
I still ended up with cloudy vision though and I am a part time (Don't tell my eye doctor) contact lens wearer. I could never wear my lenses with the oil around my eyes like that even after cleansing with my cleanser.
I used the pads a few more times but I just didn't like the greasiness. I also found that I needed at least two pads per eye and even then, my makeup smeared all over my face. The tissue, when I used it, would leave little lint bits and it was just a hassle.
I switched to Almay's oil free pads and am doing much better. I don't use them often but when I do, I can see after and my makeup doesn't smear so much.
I didn't break out from Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads but I feared I would. I get those little white bumps around my eyes when i overhydrate and I wanted to avoid those.
I didn't have any pain or irritation when I used the pads, just annoyance and cloudy vision.
Buying Info
You can purchase Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing at drugstores and mass-market stores that sell Almay products. A tub of 90 pads is about $4.50. Almay makes these same pads in a non oily formula which is much, much less bothersome to use.
Conclusion
My eyes do need moisturizing so I thought these pads would be perfect. I don't like to tug and pull at the skin around my eyes and I didn't have to with Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing but the grease was just too much. Even after cleansing my face and washing away the residue, my skin still felt oily and my eyes, no matter how tightly I kept them closed, were cloudy after use.
I didn't love these pads. They do the job but they just aren't something I would use again. I am going with 3 stars. If you don't mind the intense oil, these will remove eye makeup, even waterproof stuff, and they don't irritate the eyes. I will recommend them but only if you realize how very oily they are and are OK with that.
