Great sound from a respectable name

Cons: $149 price tag. Wired remote. Remote cannot control bass, treble.
The Bottom Line: These are a great pair of speakers and will greatly improve your computer's sound. Great for music lovers, good for gamers and movies.

THE PROS
This is a great speaker system that is ideal for almost all users. The 200 watt power will fully immerse you in vibrant music and will bring your computer's sound to life.
The bass(the BOOM) is powerful, controlled, and accurate, the mids(voices) are very clear. If you compare these speakers to other highend home end audio systems you will realize how close to real life that the mids are. Voices are reproduced with stunning realism. The highs(treble and some high voices) are also very accurately produced.
I am also deeply impress by how well the speakers are matched (i.e. making sure that each type of sound is audible and not overpowered or is overpowering other sound). The bass is loud, but it does not take away from the vocals, and every single high is heard well.
THE CONS
I don't like the wired remote. It does not provide freedom in controlling the sound. You can't take it very far and it is only for volumne control. Bass and treble cannot be changed with the remote, forcing you to have to change it behind the speaker. That can get annoying when switching from song to song or game to game and the sound needs some tweaking.
LISTENING TO CD'S, MP3'S
These speakers are definitely worth your money for this purpose. It will fill your room with vibrant sound and will accurately reproduce even the most demanding music and mp3's.
LISTENING TO DVD'S, VCD'S, WATCHING VIDEO'S
If you want great sound and are not a true audiophile these are also a good choice for you. You won't be able to take advantage of surround sound for your movies, dvd's, etc. but it will still give you excellent room filling sound. If you are a movie lover and you want to have true movie theater experience I highly recommend you go for the 400 watt Altec Lansing 641. If you occasionally watch movies and the extra $100 for 5.1 speakers does not appeal to you, you can't go wrong with these speakers.
PLAYING VIDEO GAMES
Once again if you are a true music lover and want to take advantage of 5.1 surround sound available to most video games, then go for a different pair. These speakers produce top notch sound but you won't be able to tell if someone is behind you, and you won't get the true sound effects available to 5.1 speakers. If you don't plan on intense gaming and these speakers are mainly for music than this is a great pair of speakers.
