As a college music student I have a high set of standards when it comes to listening to my music (be it MP3 or CD) I ordered this set of speakers for my dorm room for use as a full time stereo system- that's right I use these to listen, not only to computer music and MP3, but also to my CD's. If you are looking for a step up from those cheesy speakers that came with your Dell or Gateway computer, THIS IS IT! These speakers deliver 40 watts of power (20 per sattelite and 20 from the sub woofer) and feature a sub woofer presence control and two inputs. (I have one running to my iMac and the other to my CD player...) These were the best speakers I found that delivered, not only good bass, but a full rich sound that included good high frequency response.
Definitely Five out of five stars on this one!
