Pros: POWERFUL SUB, nice satellites, two audio input jacks
Cons: bass adjust hard to reach, no headphone jack, strange controls
The Bottom Line: for the money, there is nothing better. i would have gladly paid over 150 for these.

*setting up - setting up is very intuitive. there are two audio inputs, allowing you to connect these speakers to two audio sources. the bass adjust is behind the subwoofer, so each time you want to raise/lower it, you have to fiddle behind it. there is no separate power button, instead, the volume adjustment is the control, by pushing both up and down at the same time. there is no treble adjustment, but considering that the satellites are capable of very high frequencies and treble can be adjusted on the computer with winamp or whatever program you use, it is not very necessary. the only thing that i wish these speakers had is a headphone jack so that i could plug in my headphones to these directly without unplugging anything.
*sound - there is no doubt about it. these are probably the BEST speakers out there for its money. people have compared these to their 200-300 dollar stereo systems and said that the quality of these are better, especially the booming subwoofer. the 40-watt sub is amazing. even compared to the ada885, which has a 60-watt sub, it sounds like it has more power, with more clarity. the 40watt sub is so loud. when i lived in a dorm, people from downstairs, next door, even upstairs have come to tell me the subwoofer is too loud. if you are looking for power, these will do the job. these subs will not go as low (in frequency) as the ada885 subwoofer, but 35hz is definitely low enough to rumble your chest cavity.
*positives - i have already said that sound is awesome. it can be used for almost anything, ranging from rock, rap to classical and ballads. it is also awesome for movies. i am actually able to feel the sound during war scenes, gun shots, car engines, etc.
*negatives - controls are not very intuitive, especially the power, but after getting used to them, there is no problem. bass control is in the rear of the sub, which makes it hard to reach. a headphone jack would be useful.
*price - even though a lot of places sell for over 100, it can easily be found under 80 dollars on auction sites, making it even more of a bargain.
