Thanks for the welcome.

Also, I have an update about this product. A friend of mine bought the identical Altec Lansing speaker system less than 2 years ago. The volume control on the top of the satellites (which also turns the speakers on and off) only works occasionally to turn the speakers on. It works fine to control the volume, but only if the speakers come on in the first place. The fuse was checked and is ok. Sometimes unplugging the cord from the wall and putting it back in turns the system on. It seems like an internal wiring problem, although I have not experienced it with my set of speakers.
