The Speakers
I have had the pleasure of using these Altec Lansing Speakers for my Dell system setup for about 2 years now. If you don't know yet, these speakers pack an 80-watt punch, have 2 mains, 2 satellites and an EIGHT inch sub. The Mains are 3" full range speakers with a 1" tweeter on each. The satellites have a 3" full range speaker. These speakers sound incredible with the two satellites behind you, since it's equipped with Digital Dolby Surround Sound, especially when you are watching a DVD on a 21 inch screen.
The Remote
One thing you may find ridiculous is that it comes with a remote. But one rule I've learned in life is that a remote is ALWAYS useful. In this case, if you are laying back on the couch with your lady, watching a DVD, well, do you want to get up when it get's too loud or too soft to change the volume. NO Hey, it's OK, we've got our trusty remote
Great All Around Speakers
These speakers are the ONLY speakers made by Altec Lansing that are qualified for all their categories. Those being: Gaming Systems, Home Theater Systems, and True Digital Audio Systems. They have yet to give me any trouble and perform beautifully with any music. I am a musician and criticize the sound of my speakers a great deal, and these, for any type of speakers, whether they be home entertainment or computer speakers, sound magnificent.
