I bought them at CompUSA for about $25 as I wanted to see what I was getting and I also wanted them NOW. I can see now that you can get them at internet stores for as low as $15. I needed a frequency response that would be good enough for internet chatting. And the AHS30 fit that requirement. They are not rugged but again, they are perfect for the computer environment. The double headband makes them very comfortable and the inline microphone control with three positions (off low high) and adjacent volume control for the headphones are nice and absolutely needed features. The microphone is easy to place near one's mouth.
