Pros: Great sound, Great price, volume and power on speaker
Cons: Left speaker is "hard-wired" to the right speaker
The Bottom Line: I really enjoy these speakers and, at this price, I'm sure you will, too.

Recently the speakers I had started to not really work as good as it should. I've had it for a few years so I figured it would be a good time to get another set. I started to look around and really became interested in these speakers. Not only for the low price but also because of the great sound quality. When I listened to the store demo I knew these were the speakers to get for me.
I listen to a lot of electronic and dance music, so a good subwoofer was a must. But at the same time it has to have good mids and highs for all the electronic effects in the music. Although the subwoofer wasn't as loud as my old one, I only had the old one set to about 25% so I doubted that I would really have to worry about it. So I got it home and started to set it up when I came across my one real gripe about it. The way the cables are wired is the left speaker is hard-wired into the right speaker. The right speaker then plugs into the subwoofer and computer. The part that bothered me was the wire between the two speakers being hard-wired so I couldn't disconnect one speaker to better fish the cable around the monitor. It was a minor detail that I only have to worry about once and a while.
Now lets talk about the sound quality. All I can say is wow. These sound almost as good as my high-quality headphones I have. I only had to set the subwoofer volume to around 35%. Loudness wasn't a problem either. I was able to clip (i.e. distort) the audio if I turned up the volume all the way, but it was really loud, louder then what you should be listening to, so for my normal listening I won't have to worry about it, and I doubt you will either. Most of the time the volume is around 40% with the volume in windows set all the way to max.
