ilovemybird's Full Review: Alvin & Company FC800060D Kneaded Eraser Colored 6...
Packaging: When you purchase a kneaded eraser they come simply in a plastic wrapper sort of like that of a candy wrapper. They’re not hard to open like CDs are.
Texture: Kneaded erasers are squishy and stretchy and soft. They’re not brick like at all. When you pull them apart they sort of disintegrate which is cool and highly distracting.
Matter/Stretchiness: They are fun to play with. You can play with them like play do. They can be formed into any shape necessary for your erasing needs whether you need to erase a big area or a small area. If you pull them apart they simply smash back together.
Self-cleaning: By stretching them and kneading (hence their name) you can clean them. There is no need to get down on your hands and knees and rub them repeatedly on the carpet floor. Any graphite on them just blends into the eraser and doesn’t affect the erasing ability in the least.
Smell: You can’t really smell them until you practically plunge them up your nose. They’re not fragrant or anything, but smell doesn’t matter when it comes to erasing quality.
Color: They mainly come in grey colors but you can find them in white, pink, blue, and yellow; which are the main colors that normally interest anyone. You can pick and choose which suits you the best when it comes to your personality.
How they work: they’re like stretchy rubber. All you do is rub off your mistake or what have you just like any other eraser. The difference is that you have no eraser “shavings”-for lack of a better word-mess afterword.
How long they last: these erasers don’t change their mass or density. They stay the same size as you use them. Because they have no eraser mess when you’re working with them they don’t get any smaller; therefore, they last for as long as you use them and need them.
