Pros: Excellent service, modern and well maintained
Cons: Somewhat out of the way, hard beds, loud plumbing
The Bottom Line: The Amari Atrium offers good value but if you have more money to spend you probably want to stay near the river and the historic center.

| travelon's Full Review: Amari Atrium Hotel |
This modern high rise hotel is located in the business and embassy area of Bangkok. The hotel offers all the standard amenities such as air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, restaurants and a pool. The rooms were pleasant but had extremely hard beds. I am not talking about a firm bed with padding on top but a bed that is as hard as sleeping on the floor. Have you heard of Westin’s Heavenly Bed? This is the hell bed! In addition the bathrooms had very loud and powerful toilets. Your neighbor’s toilet is not something want to hear at two in the morning after twenty five hours without sleep.
The service at the hotel was excellent. The Amari Atrium overlooks one of the canals, or klongs. We were told not to take klong ferry boat and stick with taxis. I read that the klongs were very polluted, plus you have to jump off and on. It is about a five minute taxi ride to the closest Sky Train station and the fare is only a few dollars.
