Not Your Typical Light

Pros: smooth, goes down easy. great with steak

Cons: not for "getting drunk", expensive

The Bottom Line: Buy this beer at a fancy steak restaurant with your dad or (better) with your girlfriend's dad. Stick to Budweiser for the keg parties and football games.

This is a good beer for guys that like beer. It is not too heavy - it is a 'light' beer - and yet it doesn't *taste* like a light beer. It isn't watered down. It has a nice, crisp taste that goes really well with steak, beef stew, and other heavy foods. You're not going to get drunk drinking Amstel Light (well ... not unless you drink quite a bit of it!) but you will be able to drink several of them without getting a hangover. It's not the best beer for hanging out and watching a football game, but it is an excellent "dinner" beer.
