But, are you aware that microwaving your foods is also unhealthy, to say the least? In the process of rearranging the molecules in foods, the microwave process produces carcinogens (known cancer-causing substances) in foods; at the same time most of the nutritional content of the food is also destroyed, leaving you with a heap of pretty worthless stuff! So, take those healthier foods you've stored in safe glass containers, and heat 'em up the good old-fashioned way...on the stove in glass or stainless steel pots and pans! Your body will thank you!

My gramma really did have a bunch of these- and the little shower caps for dishes too.
It is so good to see you writing here again. Enjoyed this review very much.
I always use glass jars whenever I can to store things, as they last much longer that way.
Great to know they still make these things!
