Well, it's the right product name, but I'm afraid they have the wrong picture. I have the actual Bead Me Up Scotty! playpen and it is somewhat like this. In reality, it has a vertical ladder, a horizontal ladder, colorful beads on all the steps, a bell, and ascending perches which lead to the horizontal ladder.
I have four parakeets. Three of them are 3 years old, and one of them is a new addition (May 29, 2000). The three that have been around didn't get a playpen until after a year, and they were crazy about it. When I got the new bird, Ava, I decided to get a second playpen. So I went to Pets.com and found a great offer: $15 off your first purchase. I ended up paying only $7 of my own money, which I thought was great. When the playpen arrived, they didn't play with it right away, but they got used to it. It looks like they enjoy the beads the most and they often fly onto my dresser (where the playpens are) to play with them.
Bead Me Up Scotty! is very durable, and trust me, if I can say that with four birds, you know it's got to be worth something. Every time it's time to get out of the cage, that's where they go. I love it so much I had space on my dresser for another one.
If you need a playpen for your parakeet, this is one of the best you can find, and it's also one of the cheapest. So give it a try on your birdie today!
