Anna's has the best burritos for the money in the Boston area. They are hot, stuffed almost to overfilling, and cost only around $4. When you want something good and cheap, here is where to go.
Anna's offers a standard variety of burritos - chicken, steak, bean, and veggie in two sizes with your choice of standard fillings. They also have quesadillas and dinner plates to choose from.
The food is good, but my one complaint is that it is not very flavorful. I like my burritos to have a fresh taste - I like lettuce, sour cream, lots of cheese. The burritos that Anna's serves are not really like this. The cheese is sliced and steamed in the burrito before the topping goes into it. Then the toppings are added, and they don't have fresh lettuce or tomatoes or onions. The salsa is good, but not enough to carry the burrito, which is so warm from the fillings and the steamings, that everything ends up warm.
This is a small complaint, and for $4 I really shouldn't be. But that is what this site is for...
The places themselves depend on which one you visit. The older ones are smaller and have only a few tables (Beacon St. mostly), but the newer ones in Brighton and Cambridge have added a few more seating options. It's not exactly high style, but gives you a place to sit and eat.
So, I recommend Anna's - good burritos at a great price - they could just use some more zing!
