The Bottom Line: This book reminds me a lot of the Harry Potter books that are so gigantic right now. Great read for young and old alike!

This book reminds me of the Harry Potter books. It's about a young apprentice whose master is killed, and a monster summoned (as a prank) by the wizard before he dies takes over the duties of teaching the apprentice how to use his skills.

With names of characters like Skeeve, Gleep, and Aahz, how can you go wrong!?! Skeeve is the apprentice, Aahz is the monster-turned-teacher, and Gleep is Skeeve's pet dragon.

If you or your child is interested in fantasy, this is a great series to read! I've read the entire series a few times and I still hope that Asprin puts out a few more.
