Pros: Definitely anti-residue.
Cons: Can't stand the scent.
My hair oftentimes gets bored and feels weighed down after using the same shampoo for weeks. Since I'm a daily hair-washer, this happens on a regular basis. I've been familiar with Neutrogena's products since I was a kid and although I was skeptical about the small bottle and higher-than-usual pricetag, I didn't think there'd be any harm in trying a product that's been on the market for years now.
Use this once-a-week shampoo treatment to instantly remove residue that can cause bad hair days. Then go back to your favorite shampoo and you'll find it working better than ever.
Instantly removes up to 70% of dulling residue caused by shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
Cleans hair thoroughly, easily rinses clean.
Mild formula won't cause irritation.
For all hair types.
For best results, use with Neutrogena Detangling Conditioner.
6 fl. oz. bottle comes packaged in a thin cardboard box. Personally I don't think the extra cardboard is all that necessary, but maybe Neutrogena had some sort of reason for it to have kept it this long.
When I used it for the first time, I was instantly turned off by the scent. Normally I like fragrances, but this one just sort of reminded me of Old Spice. The scent of this shampoo is somewhat musky and overpowering.
It didn't take much of the product to create a workable lather. After shampooing, I rinsed it away which took little effort because it rinsed clean leaving no residue.
Afterwards my hair was "squeaky" which meant it probably needed a conditioner so I decided to just use my usual. Afterwards I blow-dried and styled my hair.
There was a difference between the condition of my hair before and after, but not too much. And still the offensive scent lingered long after my shower.
People who shampoo/condition regularly in addition to applying styling products to their hair.

Would I buy this again?
I don't know, probably not. I just really didn't like the scent, and really the results aren't enough for me to tolerate it.
1. Use a conditioner after shampooing for improved manageability.
