| kyms999's Full Review: Apex Digital PD-100 5.8 in. Portable DVD Player |
I paid $180 and bought this for portable DVD Player for my son for Christmas, he loved it but the DVD Player immediately had problems with the color, it would fade in and out. I tried to bring it back to the store, but since I bought the gift earlier and stored it until Christmas I could not return it (they have a 15 day electronic return timeframe) and so I was directed to call APEX directly. They have 3 phone lines for customer support which are all constantly busy, the repair shops listed on APEXdigitalinc.com for CT area all refuse to fix this player saying APEX never paid them for previous repairs and they would not fix it...even though they are listed on the site. I contacted via email someone from APEX who said I had to mail the DVD player all the way to California (I live in MA) and pay the postage myself, and that they would try and fix it and I would get it back in about 3 weeks.
IF I knew this company had such horrible customer service I would not have purchased this DVD player or anything from them. This DVD player is still broke and I am contemplating what I should do, I owe my son a portable DVD player.
