| x2dmax's Full Review: Apple MB466LL/A 13 in. (MB466LL/A BUNDLE) Mac Note... |
Having been a PC user most of the time, this is my first long term experience with a Mac. I probably would not have considered a Mac unless it could run XP using VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox. I still need the PC apps for work.
The case feels substantial and although I have yet to bump it on something, I would expect it to hold up. The screen is super clear with bright colors. Even with the smallish screen, my eyes don't feel tired looking at the screen all day. Keyboard placement is very good and I really like the two finger on the touchpad feature. There is some discomfort where you rest your palms. Average size hands will be resting on the bottom corner, which over time hurts a bit.
Running XP in the Macbook has been mixed. Most of the time it does run with no problems, but there have been occasions where it will lock up and reboot itself or tell you to do a hard reboot. I'm finding that Fusion is a little bit more reliable than VirtualBox, but either is a fine choice. VirtualBox is free however.
